Beams, Timbers,

Our antique beams have a heavy weathered
patina and are carefully examined and hand-sorted to
meet the highest standards. Nordecor's beams are made
from authentic reclaimed wood.
These beams are all unique and may
contain nail holes, distress marks, checking, or peg
holes.
We can supply you with old original
sawn or hand-hewn timbers by the piece or by the truckload.
Sizes typically range from 6x6 up to 12x12 and larger.
Lengths of up to 30' are common but we have supplied
beams as long as 40 to 60'.
Reclaimed logs are also available. Timbers can be re-sawn
to exact specifications. Common wood species are:
•Douglas Fir
•Oak
•White Pine
•Other hardwoods available can include Maple, Hickory,
Elm, Poplar, Beech, and Chestnut

| We also create box beams and
trusses from reclaimed boards with a choice of finished texture;
original circle-sawn face, skip-planed face, or smooth. The
result is a box beam that looks like an original solid timber.
These are used as staircase and balcony newels, decorative posts
and beams for walls and ceilings, or as wrap to structural wood
or steel posts and beams. In many cases we have created decorative
timber-frame style trusses using this box beam technique. |
